The story behind Gästrike
As an architect and designer, I created the Gästrike series to meet the need for functional and compact furniture for the hall. The inspiration came from everyday challenges – I missed a place where keys, headphones and dog leashes could be gathered, without compromising on aesthetics or quality. Every detail, from the FSC-labeled oak to the beautifully aged brass, is carefully selected to create a timeless and durable design.

The Gästrike series
The name Gästrike originates from a customer on Gästrikegatan in Stockholm, who requested a hat rack that could handle heavy loads without compromising on design. Traditional hat racks are often bulky or rely on diagonal braces that get in the way. The challenge was to create a sleek Scandinavian-style rack, inspired by Japanese craftsmanship and its clean lines.
